Floor mat fitment errors are one of the most common frustrations F-150 owners run into — mostly because cab configuration isn’t always obvious from the outside. Here’s how to get it right the first time.
Know Your Cab Configuration
- Regular Cab — two doors, front seating only, no second row
- SuperCab — extended cab with rear-hinged half doors and a smaller second row
- SuperCrew — four full-size doors with a full second row, the most common configuration
Floor mat sets are cut specifically for each configuration’s floorboard shape and second-row space, so a SuperCrew set will not properly fit a SuperCab, even though both have four doors in some trims.
Front Row Fitment
Front floor mats are largely consistent across cab styles since the front floorboard doesn’t change, but always confirm the listing covers your model year, since Ford has made minor console and pedal-area changes across the 2021-2026 range.
Second Row Fitment
This is where most fitment mistakes happen. SuperCab second-row mats are smaller and shaped differently than SuperCrew mats due to the reduced floor space. Always double check the listing specifies your exact cab type, not just “fits F-150.”
